#BryntinsBLT; Big Loud Twit?
No, of course not really.
I’m not loud at all.
As per an introductory post for a spur of the moment idea and due to temporary physical erkiness, BLT stands not for a famous type of sandwich involving at least some pig and some other stuff but ‘Blog Leap Tour’.
Originally I called it #GBBT but there was a story to finding a need to change it (here).
I think #BryntinsBLT is better anyway.
So you’ve jumped back and read them?
No, of course not, probably wise.
Right, quick summary…
I choose a post ‘like’ avatar on my blog, go to visit their blog, read their latest post and link to that post here. Then I choose one of the ‘like’ avatars on their post – normally the sixth one because it fits all the six degrees of separation trope requirements – go to their blog and do the same etc, etc.
I do this so there are six leaps in all. (I am waiting for pedantry on the number of leaps, yes, it depends if you count the ones from me to my first and then the last one back to here or just the ones between the sites, neither of which is six but gawd, get a life will you?)
The idea was to see where I could virtually travel in the world. In practice, so far it has meant going to America and coming back again.
Right, let us commence.
I’m starting here today because I know Plot has a story to tell and a book to publicise but she hates doing the ‘publicising her book’ thing. So, if we end up with a few more eyeballs on her site and her book as a result of this being the first stop here, all the better for her eh?
Anyway, she’s in Ireland somewhere so that’s already abroad. Warning to Christmasphobes… the book in question is (and I hate even typing this word) Christmassy. (Red wavy line indicates this is not a word but it’s too late, I’ve had to type it now.)
Follow the link and see the story of the story.
Next!
Bloody result! In quite a lot less time than flying there we have arrived probably as far away from Cornwall as we can go, New Zealand! Although with Suzanne, gallivanting around the world and looking after peoples houses, there’s no telling where she’s actually going to be in the world when you land at the blog.
Reading her post here, as you should too, it’s time for a rest at home for a bit. Best wishes Suzanne, fast recovery and enjoy being rooted, if only for a short while, for a change.
Lets leap.
Ah. I think we’d be as inefficient, polluting and as wasteful as it’s possible to be if we were actually traveling by air. Sue Vincent is back here in the UK in Yorkshire… so that’s err… 23,500 miles altogether so far, give or take the length of the taxiway each end. Perhaps we should rent a TARDIS. Or just use the internet like I’m doing. Yes.
Sue has a prolific output, has written books and may be known to you already through her regular #writephoto photo prompts. There is a lot of good reading if you hang around there. But we can’t hang around on this tour, oh no…
Count to six…
Ah.
++++++ We interrupt this tour to give a technical tip. Please include your web or your blog address on your Gravatar page, this helps people who want to do a tour of blogs based on clicking the Gravatar of the sixth person to like a post the chance to go to your blog – instead of having to go back to the fifth or up to the seventh or even go six from the other end – because you, the actual sixth person, have not got any blog or web address to leap to and to include here. Thank you. Carry on. ++++++
Where have we got to? Truth is, I don’t exactly know. I could do detective work on it, read every post to see of there’s clues or I could just guess.
+++++ We interrupt this tour to give a technical tip. Please include a little about where you are on your About page. Even if you want to be anonymous (like me) at least a country would be helpful to anyone that happens to be trying to do a blog piece about hopefully doing a world tour just on blogs alone. Thank you. Carry on. ++++++
Anyway, this entry is a poem inspired by one of Sue’s Photo prompts although that wasn’t what the post on Sue’s blog that we came from. Anyway I think the signature says Anjali but perhaps that and where we are will get cleared up on a ping back.
Right, off we go.
5. Baldy Blog
Back in the UK again, the far north of England in the beautiful hills and lakes of Cumbria, and a man after my own heart – although I am still keeping my hair even if he gets the heart.
Like me, it’s enough for Sean Duffy to live in surroundings which are stunning, enjoy a bit of photography and generally live life as a bit of a laugh even when it’s trying not to let you. I’ll follow, you might if you go there and have a look too, seeing as you are here and liking mine so far (a bit of an assumption) .
We are fairly close to home but there’s another leap yet.
I think we’ll go for number…. six.
Sigh….
++++++ We interrupt this tour to give a technical tip. Thank you. Carry on. ++++++
After a bit of technical jiggery pokery with the ‘rules’ I have finally gone with ‘the first avatar with a website associated with it I could find on Baldy’s About page because I ran out of patience after clicking on four different ones on the original post page that didn’t have one’. I might have to insert that slight amendment and perhaps a legal get-out clause in my rules officially.
Anyway, to demonstrate that a random tour is a beautiful thing, here is a photographic site that is a beautiful thing. Jane is in San Francisco, which is the first time we’ve been to the US on this tour today. It’s a really good one though.
Set aside some time to have a good look around, that’s where I’m going to be for a good while yet before heading home.
Thank you for traveling with #BryntinsBLT today, I hope you have enjoyed my random leaping and do visit those that I leaped to myself.
As with me, not everything is going to be to your taste but it’s a big world that has room for both crackpots like me and plenty of other people.
There’s more humour, sensitivity, feeling, appreciation of beauty and pure generosity of spirit out there than the headlines let us see.
Go visit, see some sights and read some great stories.
Then come back here another time for the usual dross.
Great fun. Just be careful the glare doesn’t hurt your eyes 😉

Thank you Sir.
I’m both lucky and secure in the knowledge that there are no extant pictures of me without my hat on on my blog.

If you read my blogs carefully you will come to know that I am from India…and staying in Mumbai.

Thank you for popping back to tell us, I did read a couple of posts as well as the landing one but time precluded me getting to the bottom of it before ‘going to press’ as it were.
We’ll add India to the air miles bill!

Hi Jane, no problem.
I like that my ‘rules’ threw up a curve ball and gave me an even more random journey… and I found your site so it was all good!

I usually visit the blogs of all the bloggers who “like” one of my posts, except the ones I’m already following. Haven’t calculated any miles, though.

Hi Audrey. Yep I do similar when time allows, nice to see the blogs of people who are pretty normal but still like a bit of crackpot now and again. 😉

😁 thank you for the share, and thanks to the people who clicked through from your site 😁
Yesterday was an adventure in baking Christmas cake whilst becoming ever more drunk on espresso martinis 🍸
Normal service may resume later. Possibly

It’s a pleasure Plot, lord knows I’m no actual use to anyone for most of the rest of the time, and that’s without doing any ‘baking’.

It’s a great way to travel, didn’t have to take my shoes and belt off or be frisked once.

Thank you Miss 235681907, glad you enjoyed it.
So far there has been a series, this one being 2 out of 3. Which is a real coincidence seeing as they are the first two numbers of your name eh? 😉
(Note: Muttering ‘Idiot’ under your breath and getting out quick is quite a normal thing around here…)

Great idea – I’m certainly going to share it. But I object to 6 because I rarely get that many comments – which probably demonstrates my blog is not worth a visit anyway. BTW, I’m English but in Ireland.

Thanks Frank but no need to worry… if I find a post with only one like I’ll just count it until I get to six and then go there. 😉
